Cancellation and Refund Terms
It is important to clearly understand the terms and conditions that apply before purchasing a tour. This page explains the current site operation and the general legal framework for package tour contracts in Turkey.
General rights in package tours including accommodation.
The Package Tour Contracts Regulation stipulates that participants in tours covered by the regulation may notify the termination of their agreement in writing or via a durable data storage medium.
- At least 30 days before the tour: Except for expenses arising from mandatory taxes, fees, and similar legal obligations, the payment will be refunded without any deductions.
- Less than 30 days before the tour: A deduction of a specific amount or percentage may only be applied if stated in the package tour contract.
- An unforeseen and unavoidable situation or force majeure: If the legal conditions are met, the amount will be refunded, excluding mandatory legal costs and verifiable, non-refundable third-party payments.
- Return period: Under these provisions of the regulation regarding termination, refunds will be made within 14 days of the termination notice reaching the regulator or agent.
Cancellation or significant changes by the tour organizer
If the tour is cancelled by the organizer before it begins, or if there is a fundamental change to the contract, the participant has the option of choosing an alternative tour or withdrawing from the contract as stipulated by law. If the contract is withdrawn from, the amount paid must be refunded in full within 14 days.
Day trips and tour-based contracts
Day trips lasting less than 24 hours and not including overnight accommodation may be excluded from the above package tour definition. Cancellation and modification conditions applicable to these tours should be reviewed in conjunction with the relevant contract provided prior to sale and applicable legislation.
